What MANA means
MANA, in Polynesian culture, represents a spiritual force, authority, and personal power, the inner energy that enables individuals to lead with integrity, influence, and impact.
For our Founding Partner, Krishan Weber, the meaning of MANA became deeply personal. For years, he trained to become a professional goalkeeper, until he tore his MCL just before signing his first professional contract at 18. That moment ended one dream but built the foundation for everything that followed: Discipline, recovery, and the ability to reinvent himself when the path suddenly changes.
During his first study-abroad semester in Hawaii, a pivotal chapter that shaped his understanding of human connection, energy, and presence, Krishan was navigating a difficult family situation and rebuilding his identity after the injury that had derailed his football career. Hawaii offered both a safe space for reflection and a chance to reconnect with purpose, teaching him how resilience, self-awareness, and inner force can unlock potential, principles that form the foundation of MANA Leadership Advisory. Later, during his years as an Associate Partner at McKinsey, he hit a very different wall: burnout. Working intensively with a psychologist reshaped his understanding of leadership and sustainable performance. It’s why today, at MANA, we help leaders cultivate the same depth of self-awareness and endurance that allows them to thrive rather than merely survive.
